Yes, Air Transat provides travel packages through its finest holiday travel service, Air Transat Vacations. The choice of booking these packages will give you a combination of flights, resorts, and transportation in a single reservation.
On the other hand, if you try to collect different aspects of traveling for a trip by opening various tabs, it usually leads to inflated prices, frustration, and confusion. Hence, this airline found a solution in the form of Air Transat Vacation packages.
But you need to take into consideration timing and clear details. And the reason we are saying this is because waiting too long to lock in a rate or overlooking what is actually included can quickly turn a great deal into an expensive mistake.
Don’t worry, we've got your back, and to help you book with confidence, this guide covers everything you need to know about vacation packages from Air Transat.
Yes, it's the same thing even if the booking brand differs slightly from the airline. How Air Transat Vacation Packages are booked can keep things simple, both online and over the phone. Here's who sells the packages, who brings the planes in, and what a typical deal includes, from leaving home to checking into the hotel.
Transat A.T. is the Montreal-based company behind both names. It offers vacation packages, hotel stays, and flights to 60 locations across more than 25 countries in the Americas and Europe. The packages are marketed under the Transat brand, and the Air Transat name appears on the flights. In fact, Air Transat tour packages and sun holidays are one and the same.
A single booking includes your seat, your room, and your transportation from the airport. Air Transat holiday packages are available on Transat. com, and travel agents offer the same options.
You'll find packages for the South, the United States, Morocco, Peru, and Europe on Transat Option Flex pages, so you're covered if you'd rather go to the beach resorts. If you're looking for Air Transat Vacation Packages for Peru or Europe, it's just as easy as searching for Mexico because one operator is responsible for the whole trip.
A package is more than a flight with a hotel attached. Transat bundles several components into a single price when you buy Air Transat Vacation Packages, then groups resorts into collections tailored to different travellers. This section covers the core inclusions first, then looks at the Luxury and Family collections and how they differ side by side.
Transat's own hotel listings describe the basics of a typical South package this way:
Baggage deserves a second look, because many airlines charge extra for a checked bag. Transat has also said that checked baggage remains included on last-minute departures.
Luxury is where the extras show up before you even reach the resort. Within Air Transat tour packages, the Luxury Collection focuses on comfort during both the journey and the stay. Here are the perks Transat has listed for it, and who is likely to value them most.
Take a look at each hotel page before booking, as menus and bar lists vary by resort. This package costs more but includes access to the lounge and private transfers, saving on two of the headache elements associated with an Air Transat holiday booking.
Families usually care about two numbers: the price for kids and the hours someone else is watching them. When you shop Air Transat tour packages with kids, the Family Collection targets both selected resorts. Below are the benefits listed on Transat's promotion page, along with the fine print parents should read before choosing a resort.
Details matter. Children's and infants' rooms are complimentary only when they are sharing a room with at least one paying adult. Children and infants in Air Transat Vacation Packages, airfares and taxes still apply; age limits vary by resort. See Special Offers on the hotel page before completing your reservation. Transat has also provided 0 percent financing on Family Collection bookings, with payment in monthly installments, so inquire if your travel dates are eligible.
This quick comparison shows where the two collections differ most.

The airfare is the first concern, and packages typically give you a lower package price (but always in comparison shops). A tour operator purchases blocks of seats and rooms and resells them as a package. This chapter is an overview of what makes Air Transat tour packages a good buy, when to go, and where.
Price your flight and hotel separately for your travel dates, and compare the subtotal to the package price. Packages include transfers, taxes, and checked bags, all items that are not included in many independent travel searches. Transat also features sales that save up to 40 per cent on Air Transat Vacation Packages, like the October 2025 sale. Take advantage of up to 45% off packages to Cancun, Tulum, and Cozumel when booked by August 2nd. -July 2026 flash sale with up to 45% off!
Price can also vary by day of departure and month, so check the calendar to find a deal. Air Transat flexible holiday departures are cheaper to book. Departing on a weekday and taking a holiday in the low-season months is usually much cheaper than on weekends and in summer months.
Transat offers flights to nearly 60 destinations in 25 countries or more, but most of the work is completed by a handful of locations that draw the lion's share of those heading for the sun. Prices are subject to change by season, so use these as a baseline.
These Caribbean islands lead the list for sun seekers:
Dominican Republic: Be on the lookout for packages to Punta Cana during Transat sales, which pop up frequently for resorts like the Occidental Caribe and the Dreams Flora.
Cuba: Transat to offer vacations at the Iberostar Coral Esmeralda in Cayo Cruz, in the less lively part of Cuba.
Each island sells well during sales and early booking windows. Browse Air Transat tour packages for the Caribbean by comparing resort collections, since the Family and Luxury perks above apply hotel by hotel.
These mainland and nearby options round things out:
The latest sales include Mexico: Cancun, Riviera Maya, Tulum, and Cozumel, as well as an option in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast.
Costa Rica: Transat sorts the sun destinations by region, and puts Central America there, so see what it has by season on its website.
Florida: Transat offers packages in the state, useful if you prefer a beach holiday in the US over an all-inclusive resort
The quality of the resort can vary within a single country, so select hotels over the destination as a whole. Combining a sale with a booking together with an Air Transat holiday can help a strict budget go further.
Last-minute deals can seem like a good deal, even when the days grow colder and darker. Transat offers all its last-minute packages on a separate page for departures in the coming month. A last-minute Air Transat holiday booking can be a good deal or not so much, based on the level of flexibility, resort selection and time to prepare. Here is an honest view of the pros and cons.
These situations make a last-minute package worth a look:
Savings are based on dates, not resorts. Check the week you want against the week before and after as Air Transat Vacation Packages may differ by departure day.
In this case, just jump ahead, since stock and agility diminish:
You require a particular room type or a Family Collection hotel, for multiple individuals.
Option Flex Standard is now exempted from coverage 72 hours before departure, meaning a trip booked days ago has very little window for cancelling.
Flexible dates are in particular valuable when you're purchasing late, and real steals can be found. Look for Air Transat Vacation Packages discounted for departures in the next month.
Nobody books a trip expecting to cancel, yet plans change. Transat offers two optional protections for Air Transat Vacation Packages: Option Flex and the difference lies in timing and payout. Rates and rules below come from Transat's own Option Flex page and may change, so confirm them before you pay.
This table compares the two plans side by side.

Select Standard if your primary objective is to receive credit for a future trip. Or choose Extra if you would like a refund. Credit is only useful if you plan to travel with Transat again. No matter which option you choose, Standard or Extra, make sure to check the terms and conditions of your Air Transat holiday booking, as they can vary depending on the product and date.
There are a number of terms behind those headlines, and each one determines what you actually get:
For a family of four, Standard adds $396, and Extra adds $596 before any surcharge. Compare that with the cost of the trip, since Air Transat tour packages to peak destinations can be high. Transat has also discounted the plan itself, offering 50 percent off Option Flex Standard on Cuba packages booked January 9 to 25, 2026. Without Option Flex, regular cancellation terms apply, and those can carry heavy penalties.

Holiday packages save what matters most: your time and effort. On top of that, saving money with Option Flex is an added benefit of selecting these packages. Your booking step is simple, but check the Option Flex surcharge periods before you confirm your booking. And when everything is right in front of you, take a confident step and book with Air Transat.
